Smiths Interconnect is delighted to announce that its French site received the 2015 Award for the Best EHS Management from Alstom Transport Tarbes during the Supplier Day on June 23rd, 2015.
Smiths Interconnect was selected from 35 recognised suppliers for its long-standing commitment in Environmental, Health & Safety. “This award from Alstom, a major strategic customer, recognises the commitment of our parent company, Smiths Group, and our investment and diligent work in EHS management for over 12 years. We rigorously select components compliant with major environmental standards and embed them into high performance interconnect solutions that ensure safe and reliable connection for transportation systems.“ said Giuseppe Lancella, VP Sales EMEA for Smiths Interconnect. “Being rewarded for our EHS expertise and responsiveness is highly gratifying for the entire Smiths Interconnect team”.
The award demonstrates Smiths Interconnect’ strategy to work closely with global customers in all phases of the product life cycle from the initial design phase through production to after sales support. It is the result of more than 40 years of close partnership with Alstom which has enabled co-development of innovative and cost-effective connector products.
Smiths Interconnect’ solutions, from modular, rectangular, rack & panel, to power connectors and couplers, are used in several Alstom programmes, including Coradia Polyvalent, Citadis, RGV2N2, NTV and PRASA.
